Custom Pet Portraits

Celebrate your furry/feathery friend with a custom hand-drawn pet portrait. Meticulously crafted in a realistic style, each portrait is a heartfelt tribute to your beloved pet's unique personality and charm. Perfect for honoring a special bond or as a deeply sentimental gift for pet lovers.

BOOKING A COMMISSION

Step 1: Choose Your Portrait Type & Size

You can choose either a drawing or an oil painting. All portraits are delivered unframed, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that best suits your home and style.


Prices are based on size and medium:

Oil Paintings
• 11 × 14 – $450
• 14 x 18 – $600
• 16 × 20 – $750

 

Drawings
• 11 × 14 – $160
• 14 x 18 –  $180
• 16 × 20 – $200

If you’d like to include multiple pets in one portrait, a larger size (14 × 18 or above) is required.

Step 2: Provide Reference Photos & Details

Once you complete the commission form, I’ll contact you within one business day to discuss your vision, preferred size, and reference photos. Clear, well-lit photos help capture your pet’s unique essence.

Step 3: Memorial Options (Optional)

 

For memorial portraits, you may choose one or both of the following:

Forever Paint – $30
A small amount of your beloved pet’s ashes (about one tablespoon) can be gently blended into the oil paint — a sacred way to keep their spirit within each brushstroke.

Memory Pouch – $10
A small faux-leather pouch can be attached to the back of the panel to hold a lock of fur, name tag, or other keepsake.

Please ensure ashes are safely packaged and clearly labeled. Any unused materials will be respectfully returned or handled per your written instructions.

Step 4: Completion Date

  • Drawings: typically completed within 10 days

  • Oil paintings: typically completed within 15-20 days (due to layering and curing time)

 

Please mention if your portrait is a gift or needed by a specific date, and I’ll confirm if I can meet the deadline.

Step 5: Agreement & Booking Fee

You’ll receive a commission agreement outlining all project details, including size, medium, add-ons, and completion date.

I will send you an invoice for 50% of the total cost of the portrait to book the commission. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion and approval of the artwork, before delivery or shipping.

Step 6: The Creative Process

Once your deposit is received, I begin your portrait. You can choose to receive progress updates. Each piece is made with professional, archival-quality materials to ensure it lasts for generations.

Step 7: Final Approval, Payment & Delivery

When your portrait is finished, I’ll send you a clear photo for review. Once approved and the final payment is received, your artwork will be carefully packaged for shipping or scheduled for pickup. A tracking number will be provided for shipped pieces, and shipping insurance is available upon request.
